Andrew Appleby

Andrew Appleby is an American science-fiction writer whose work explores humanity’s resilience, moral complexity, and the unseen forces that shape the future. His Echoes of Earth series—beginning with Rise of the Cerians and continuing with Shadow of the Cerians—follows the officers of Earth Space Fleet as they navigate political tension, hidden threats, and the unsettling rise of the Cerian Empire. His stories blend character-driven drama, realistic military structure, and emotionally grounded relationships, with a particular focus on loyalty, sacrifice, and the cost of survival.

Outside his writing life, Andrew works as an IT technician, a field that strengthens his appreciation for precision, systems, and the interplay between technology and humanity—elements that appear throughout his novels. His faith, personal experiences, and deep interest in the dynamics of duty and connection also influence the emotional depth of his characters.

Andrew writes from the American South, where he enjoys developing new story worlds, refining the lives of his characters, and crafting the next chapters of the Echoes of Earth saga.
